I thought CSS was supposed to make global site style editing easy. I can’t change one class to get ride of that overlay?

I guess it comes down to this. What a casual user such as myself needs to realize: WordPress hasn’t been a blog software for a long time. It’s a full blown content management system (CMS) that’s developed now for publishing a LOT of content, and handle a LOT of traffic, and isn’t really meant to reflect much individuality, as a blog used to be.

That’s basically what it comes down to. It’s developed now so that people can use it to make money from large companies looking for an inexpensive means of publishing a lot of rapidly changing bulk content, and for commercial purposes through the use of plugins like WooCommerce. A little guy like me can’t complain. Well, I can complain all I want. Haha. But I only look like a fool doing so.
